Unfortunately, Transgender often fall victim to sexual abuse and violence as sex workers and beggars.

They don’t get to basic needs of food, shelter, education and health etc.

Transgender still face problems in getting their national ID cards, passports and driving licenses. They are those individuals that nobody is going to accept as a part of their society. Whichever home a transgender is born with is riddled with grief as opposed to celebration.

According to an estimate, among one lac transgender, only four thousand have a national ID card. Both Government and citizens seem culprits in this situation because the government cannot decide on their identity. Although in 2018, the Pakistani government passed the Transgender Person (Protection of Rights) Act which officially established the legal right of transgender people in Pakistan to identify themselves as such and instituted anti-discrimination laws.

Educational Rights and Job Opportunities for them are interconnected with each other because our society is not accepting them and tease them in educational institutions. If they will not get an education how they can occupy their position in Different Jobs.

Health care facilities are a major issue of concern as they are not getting their basic health facilities. One of the examples of transgender health issue is an incident that happened on the roads of Peshawar are an example of our society callousness.

Keeping in view the act of 2018 providing shelter is also mentioned in the rights of transgender and this will help us to give them a position in society. They should be given a chance to work with the community and can come forward to become contributive members of society.

Inheritance rights are also part of the act because when a family identifies them as transgender they throw them like tissue paper to the market where they become victimized morally, sexually and emotionally. Now it’s our responsibility to integrate the transgender as a respected member of our society.
