Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) officials say the party will win government in Punjab again and Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will be ousted.
SAPM Attaullah Tarar stated in Sessions Court Lahore that the resources of Punjab government have been used for statements against the Centre, and that the Punjab bureaucracy is also unwilling to work with them.
He said that this case is baseless and false and that they joined the investigation themselves. He also said that there is a man who is not participating in the investigation of the Toshankhana case. He thinks they will lose this case, and he also suggested Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to join the investigation.
Tarar said that in Punjab, Chief Minister Elahi and his son Moonis Elahi are protecting Imran Khan, who is stealing resources from the province and attacking the Army and Judiciary. He added that Imran Khan’s public rallies are also dwindling in numbers.
In a social media post, the PML-N’s Rana Mashood criticized the Punjab chief minister Elahi for ignoring the victims of the recent floods and spending money on his constituents. “Flour prices in Punjab should be less like we were,” he said.
More than 15 government MPs are in contact with the PML-N, according to Rana Mashood. The Punjab chief minister no longer shows concern for the flood victims, he said. This company will not run for a long time, he added.
Earlier, the Sessions Court heard the case of vandalism in the Punjab Assembly and ordered Atta Tarar and 11 other PML-N leaders to join the investigation.
The court increased the pre-arrest bail bonds of PML-N supporters and asked the police to submit their investigation documents in the next hearing.
