Today an angry mob lynched a Sri Lankan citizen named Priyantha Kumara in Sialkot. Priyantha Kumara was serving as General Manager of Rajco Industies, which is a sportswear maker.

According to social media posts, the mob accused him of desecrating posters which had some holy pictures and names on them. The angry mob first attacked him, dragged him on the roads, kicked his dead body, and then set it on fire. The crowd was chanting slogans of TLP, an extremist outfit which was recently unbanned by the government.

Priyantha Kumara was serving as General Manager Rajco Industries since November 2013. He moved to Pakistan in 2010 and had worked in textile industry in Faisalabad and Lahore. According to his linkedin profile, he did his bachelors in Production Engineering from University of Peradeniya, Kandy, Sri Lanka, in 1995 to 2000 session. His causes included working for Children, Education, Environment, Health, Poverty Alleviation, Science and Technology and Social Services.
