Do We Really Stand with Kashmiris?

Another 5 February is yet to be passed and Kashmir nhi ban saka Pakistan. Each year, we celebrate Kashmir day with a purpose to express our solidarity with Kashmiris. It is unfortunate that amid rhetorical speeches and aggressive statements by the government ministers, the Kashmir Day of 2021 is not going to bring a productive and practical outcome for Kashmiris and for us too. It is more than a mere likelihood that the day will be passed with the only reiteration i.e. Kashmir hun mei, Shehrag Pakistan ki. Yawp.

Writing In Times Of Covid-19

Awareness regarding mental health has always been a perpetual spar in a country where psychiatric resources and services are available in a confined manner. In underdeveloped countries such as Pakistan, People do find themselves inefficacious when the time comes to face the stressors like rising inflation and unemployment, erratic gas supplies, load shedding, political uncertainty, infringement of law and order, and most importantly the social stigma and lockdown effects brought about by the second wave of Covid-19.

Where Is The State Now?

It is ironic to see the indifference of our Prime Minister, Imran Khan in response to a brutal attack that took place in the Hazara Community. The attack marked on 4th January 2020 granted no quarter to the 11 innocent lives, leaving the rest in a state of despair. Even though the recent attack made the victims face severe fright and trepidation in the last moments of their life, our prime minister was not ready to console the grieving families of the Mach coal miners by visiting them.
