Not only are we witnessing a genocide unfolding in Palestine before our eyes, but we can also observe the manipulation of semantics to justify it. Amidst this, the Western establishment is not only allowing but is also providing physical and moral support to Israel, enabling these events

This is not something oblivious to them; they have a long history of justifying bombing, colonizing, and seizing lands of ‘uncivilized’ people. From Asia to Africa, they have slaughtered millions of innocent beings with impunity. This also wouldn’t have bothered them, but the cries of children and the anguish of elders losing their loved ones were too loud to be ignored.

In addition, social media, despite the restrictions imposed, has been able to show the atrocities committed, especially in civilian places—hospitals, religious sites, and refugee camps—that has exposed the already notorious, wicked Zionist ideology. It also depicted the sheer hypocrisy of world leaders through contrasting statements on Ukraine and Palestine, despite both regions resisting an intruder. The hypocrisy of claiming equality while practicing inequality can be exemplified by George Orwell’s famous line in ‘Animal Farm’ with a slight tweak: ‘All humans are equal, but some white humans are more equal than others.'”

However, the pressure has not yet compelled them to a permanent ceasefire. Considering the ground realities, It is highly likely that sooner or later, Israel with its allies will achieve whatever their intentions are in Palestine regardless of Hamas’ resistance. The Hamas resistance was mainly to awaken the world’s conscience, especially Arabs, who were contemplating making ties with Israel.

Apart from these military gains, Israel and its allies also attempt to justify these attacks by portraying themselves as protectors against evilness caused by Hamas and Muslims in general. This is where they got a huge setback. The self-created sense of superiority, portraying themselves as the savior of human civilization through democracy, freedom, modernity, and equality has fallen flat. This narrative was so deeply institutionalized that, in confronting this same mindset, one still ends up using definitions designed to support their worldview.

This happened, despite the control of the media, academia, distribution of resources, and the ruling elite of almost all countries. This, in itself, is an achievement considering the extensive investment made to alter our mindset. Subsequently, it is also the first baby step on a long journey that will unshackle us to challenge them physically.

Undoubtedly, undoing this mentality is crucial, we still need the courage to break their hold if we wish for any chance to create a peaceful world
