Apple unveiled the latest generation of iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods Pro 2 at a recent event. Several new bugs related to the iPhone 14 models are coming to the surface. Recently, many new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max customers reported about a rattling camera issue in third-party apps like Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok. This issue resulted in a shaky photo and even produced grinding or buzzing sounds from the camera bump.

On iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models, Apple is working on a fix to resolve the camera issue. According to a statement made to The Verge by Apple spokesperson Alex Kirschner, the company is “aware of the issue and a fix will be released next week.”

What is causing the camera issue in iPhone 14 Pro models

The camera bug reported by iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users initially was difficult to identify. Because the native app worked fine, it was hard to determine whether the issue was with iOS 16 or third-party apps. To fix this issue, Apple now has an update, so the iPhone and its APIs might be at fault, not the third-party apps.

The problem is not common in the regular iPhone 14 models, which use the camera’s optical image stabilisation system, according to Apple’s website. The website does not provide details about what is causing the problem, but rumours indicate that the camera’s optical image stabilisation system is at fault. A “second-generation” version of the same system might be the source of the problem in the Pro models.

On March 22, 2017, Apple released iOS 16.0.1, which fixed an issue that caused some photos to become soft while zooming in the landscape mode on the iPhone 14 Pro Max. This is not the first update that will address the camera problem.
